• Banks reported positive results but traded lower - what does this say about broader market appetite for financials?
    Frank
  • Robert Sheehan
Banks accelerated into year-end 2025 and were among first sectors to broaden out. Taking a breather now is okay as they await Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley earnings. Banks still well positioned for 2026.
  • Tech popping on Taiwan Semi news, Nasdaq futures higher. Besides chips, tech has been down for 1-2 months while market sideways. Do we need something besides chips to see market move higher?
    Frank
  • Robert Sheehan
Market started broadening out mid-last year with financials finishing strong. Would be great to see other S&P sectors outside tech contribute to earnings momentum heading into 2026, but technology is still the place to be.
  • You have S&P target of 8000 this year. Can it reach that without tech leadership given Mag 7 dominance of Nasdaq and S&P?
    Frank
  • Robert Sheehan
Tech will still lead the rally and lead the market this year. For market to continue momentum and broadening, need other sectors to participate - healthy for overall economy. Earnings season will give indication.
  • You say people need to move down AI stack but recommend Amazon and Palantir which are at top of stack. What do you mean given your bullishness on these names?
    Frank
  • Robert Sheehan
Palantir is best in class with accelerating fundamentals. AI boom remains strong per Taiwan Semi feeding Nvidia. Like Palantir for AI software connecting satellites, drones, radar into military system - government spending/defense AI play. They upped 2026 earnings projection and got $11B in contracts.
  • Jim Cramer tweeted Nvidia barely moves on Taiwan Semi blowout. Surprised Nvidia not up more? Expecting Nvidia to take leadership today and tech in general?
    Frank
  • Robert Sheehan
Nvidia brought us to the party with first mover advantage and only chips everyone needs. Looking down value stack in AI play with picks like Palantir and Amazon. AWS cloud growth at 30% year-over-year provides other avenues outside AI. Nvidia leads the way.
