Lizzy Burden
Richard Tice
Markets can trust us because we are business people. We have a successful track record of making money for shareholders and investors.
Nigel Farage has argued you'd balance tax cut plans with spending cut plans.
Lizzy Burden
Richard Tice
First we have to cut the vast amount of wasteful spending. You need to deregulate daft regulations. Only then can you afford performance related tax cuts.
Last time you were here you talked about working groups deregulating the city. What's the progress?
Lizzy Burden
Richard Tice
We have working groups looking at financial services and growth regulation, SME growth capital, simplifying pensions and savings, and our over-complex tax code.
Do you still want a close relationship with the US?
Lizzy Burden
Richard Tice
Of course we want the US as a close ally. It's our single biggest trading partner both ways and we are aligned on defence and national security.
What about those worried you're taking donations that will shape your crypto and financial services policy?
Lizzy Burden
Richard Tice
Don't worry, relax. We know what we're doing about growing the economy and we're not for sale to anybody.
