Iran believes they had an understanding with the Americans for a ceasefire on all fronts, so the Israeli attack on Lebanon is a clear violation. This will make it extremely difficult for them to continue talks. However, Trump spoke with Netanyahu and Hezbollah representatives and they agreed to a ceasefire, with Israel apparently giving up the land operation.

I am confident the Americans and Iranians sincerely want a ceasefire and opening of the Strait of Hormuz, but I am not sure about Israel's intentions for stability in the region.
